My Dear Friend's Mom

This is a very touching poem written for my dear friend on the loss of his mom. The author's perspective was to not only acknowledge her for existing, but also to thank her for bringing into being her wonderful son. Thus, even a time of sadness can include a tiny bit of hope and some joy with a positive perspective.

My Dear Friend's Mom

My dear friend's mom I just want you to know,
About the joy your son brings us as he leads us to know.

A very skillful being indeed with everlasting care,
Is the gift that you gave us because he relieves our despair.

The tears keep on running down the sides of my face,
Because whenever I see him my heart's filled with grace.

The grace is so warm and ever so pure,
Thank you for existing and leaving your son at our door.

This man can move mountains at his desired whim,
I'm proud that I know him and feel freer from sin.

Yes your duty is over as you extend toward your peace,
I thank you for being, and welcome you back from release.
